Inclusive Learning
We in the Entry level department provide a safe, challenging and great environment for young people like you, to develop a range of skills that will support your independence into Adulthood and/or Employment and the wider community.
Staff recognise that each young person is an individual and work hard to adapt our curriculum to meet your needs. You are guided and supported by expertly trained staff to ensure maximum progress is achieved. We work with multi-agency teams and in partnership with your parents/carers to ensure a holistic approach to education and encourage you to be responsible and as independent as possible.
All of the Entry department believe in a strong learning community, where you are at the centre of everything we do. Our curriculum is planned to cater for every aspect of life that you will be involved with in the future. We have our own college shop ‘Shooters Delights’ where you will experience retail and develop your communication, money management and employability skills, as well as have some fun in managing your own shop!
We also have an independent living flat with a kitchen, lounge and bedroom where you can learn the day to day skills that you will need to either help at home, live with support or live independently.
The journey to success may be filled with hurdles, but we can support you to overcome these by helping you to develop confidence, self-belief and resilience and celebrate with you your achievements along the way!
