Letter from the Principal

9th January 2025

Dear Parents/Carers

I hope this letter finds you well. I am sure you will be aware of the incident that happened in an adjacent road to the college on Monday the 6th of January, which resulted in the college closure for two days. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

I would like to take this opportunity to reassure you of the comprehensive security arrangements we have at our college to ensure the safety and well-being of all our students.

We have secure turnstiles at the entrance which require ID for entry, ensuring that only authorised individuals can access the college. Our dedicated security team, consisting of six professionals are always on site to monitor these arrangements and respond promptly to any concerns.

Additionally, we have a safeguarding team comprising seven members who work diligently to promote a safe educational environment. In line with our commitment to security, we conduct random searches at the gate to deter any potential threats and maintain a secure atmosphere.

The college is enclosed by a robust perimeter fence, providing an extra layer of protection against unauthorised intruders. Furthermore, extensive CCTV coverage around the entire site, as well as in areas outside the college, ensuring that every corner is under constant observation.

Your child's safety is our utmost priority, and we remain committed to maintaining a secure learning environment.

Yours sincerely

Geoff Osborne Principal
