Coffee Corner

Coffee corner was set up to provide work experience opportunities for our students with SEND who will not be able to access work experience outside the organisation. Students are timetabled for their work experience in coffee corner and undertake activities to support employability skills, communication and social interaction.

Independent Living Flat

The Independent Living Flat is an area dedicated to our Foundation Learning students (specialist provision) where they learn everyday life skills for independent living, such as preparing food and doing the laundry.

The Flat is extremely beneficial to the students, and is an integral part of the foundation learning curriculum, preparing for adulthood.

Forest School

Forest School Ethos

Our Forest School embraces learning as a journey, focusing on the process rather than just the outcome. In a safe yet dynamic setting, they are given the time and freedom to create, learn, and enjoy a truly student-led experience. Taking a holistic approach, Forest School supports development through role modelling and self-discovery, rather than direct instruction, fostering independence and confidence. This outdoor learning experience is proven to improve students' mood and psychological wellbeing.

The Sensory Room

Sensory/Calming Room –is a therapeutic space designed to support students' sensory needs through tailored sensory programmes. The room includes resources such as weighted blankets and yoga balls to aid relaxation and self-regulation. It also provides tools like stress balls and deep breathing visuals to help students manage emotions and develop effective calming strategies, promoting positive self-regulating strategies.

All students with a SEND need have access to this resource.
