Statement from the Shooters Hill Sixth Form College community:
I write with sadness after the passing of our Queen.
Queen Elizabeth was a figure of national pride and served the country with grace, dignity and an unfailing sense of duty. For many she represented stability, continuity and was seen as an absolutely magnificent monarch.
As an initial mark of respect, there will be a 1 minute silence at 11:15am today. The fire alarm will mark the start and end of the minute.
As a college community, we should unite in this period of national mourning and support one another.
